RMT Defence

LOGISTICS FOR OPERATIONAL AVAILABILITY

Logistics operator accredited by the Ministry of Defence.

Specialist in distribution logistics and field logistics.

  • 100,000 operational sqm + 100,000 sqm under development (Sant Fruitós de Bages).
  • Scalable from 200,000 to 300,000 sqm dedicated to dual use (depending on demand and investment plan).

Our flexibility is your responsiveness

Ensuring supply means ensuring capability.

WHY DEFENCE?

From demanding logistics to mission logistics.

RMT operates highly demanding, large-scale supply chains — including Inditex — where process discipline, inventory control and service reliability are critical. These capabilities, already proven and sustained in live operations, are transferable to the Defence ecosystem to support programs and deployments through segregated storage, critical spare parts management, reverse logistics, and national and international distribution, always within the agreed scope and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

“Proven and transferable capabilities"

Secure storage and segregated areas: operational separation by type/criticality and flow control.

National/international distribution: multimodal coordination and document management according to requirements.

Reliability during peaks and campaigns: robust, scalable operations by design.

Traceability and inventory control: reduced discrepancies and operational accountability.

Reverse logistics: triage, refurbishment and reintegration where applicable.

In Defence, this translates into resilience, security of supply, and measurable sustainment.

FOOTPRINT AND CAPACITY

Catalonia as a logistics platform for Defence

A network of logistics centers close to Barcelona to provide storage, segregation, cross-dock and distribution services, with the capacity to grow in order to meet demand peaks and new programs.

RMT is a vector of regional cohesion and a prime logistics deployment node within the Central-Mediterranean Defence industrial corridor.

RAPID DEPLOYMENT CAPABILITY ACROSS THE NATIONAL TERRITORY

Deployment of logistics support capabilities for the defence industry in strategic areas, according to customer needs and programme scope.

In addition to its operational footprint in Catalonia, RMT has the capability to enable and implement logistics support facilities in other parts of the country, with particular focus on the North, Northeast and Central-South areas, depending on programme needs and customer requirements. This capability is structured through a modular approach (processes, systems, personnel and partner network), enabling an agile and effective response, with progressive activation and SLA/KPI-based measurement.

CORE CAPABILITIES

Proven operational capabilities for programs and deployments

On Time In Full (OTIF) | Inventory accuracy | Critical replenishment time | Incident rate | Reverse logistics cycle. Modular, scalable services measured through SLA/KPI.

1. Secure storage and segregated areas according to type, criticality and service scope.

2. Critical spare parts management based on agreed criticality criteria and defined service levels.

3. Reverse logistics: triage, refurbishment and reintegration where applicable.

4. National and international distribution according to mode, time windows and documentary requirements.

5. Logistics hubs for programs and deployments (cross-dock, pre-positioning, kitting) under an agreed design.

6. Operational scalability: resources, shifts and capacity according to campaign peaks or programme needs.

7. Authorized customs area: public and private.

OPERATING MODEL
(GOVERNANCE + CONTINUITY)

Operations are carried out under governance, continuity and visibility, fully adapted to an environment of maximum operational demand.

HOW WE OPERATE

Agreed SLA/KPI model: objectives, thresholds, reporting and review cadence.

Critical inventory management: criticality criteria, serial/batch control where applicable, and planned audits.

Segregation and flow control: zoning and differentiated processes according to material and programme requirements.

Incident management and continuous improvement: corrective actions, monitoring and recurrence prevention.

Scale-up plan: capacity to absorb peaks and carry out an orderly transition to expanded operations.

The objective is not to store, handle and move material: it is to sustain availability through control and metrics.

DEFENCE USE CASES

Three value-based scenarios for Defence

 Programme support hub

Dedicated areas and segregation, inventory control, and kit preparation to support programs, under SLA.

Deployment / campaign support hub

Pre-positioning, cross-dock and prioritized distribution to sustain logistics flow, with resource scaling according to operational needs.

Reverse logistics and refurbished assets

Triage, refurbishment and reintegration to accelerate return to availability and optimise resources.

DIGITALISATION +
SECURITY / SEGREGATION

Digitalization applied to the supply chain and operational control

BLOCK 1

Digitalization (without implying “free real-time” visibility)

Operational visibility through WMS, traceability and reporting.

Dashboards focused on availability, not only on cost.

Integration with logistics systems whenever required and under a defined project.

BLOCK 2

Control, segregation and operational discipline (without sensitive details)

Access control, zoning and operational segregation according to type/criticality.

Custody and traceability procedures in line with service requirements.

Management of operational risks (discrepancies, damage, incidents), with monitoring and continuous improvement.

ECOSYSTEM + PILOT
+ CONTACT

Logistics partner for the Defence Technological and Industrial Base (DTIB) supply chain.

Industrial cooperation, measurable service and operational scalability.

HOW WE COLLABORATE

•With prime contractors: controlled outsourcing of programme logistics operations, kitting, cross-dock and demand peaks.

•With SMEs and the auxiliary supply chain: consolidation, segregated storage, distribution and reverse logistics, with clear SLAs.

• With the client/programme: operations under SLA/KPI, periodic reporting and continuous improvement.

• Strategic alliances with logistics companies: agreements to expand reach, specific capabilities and operational redundancy according to programme needs.

• Strategic collaboration with the Armed Forces: definition of needs and operational validation through pilots, tailoring the service to real requirements.

Example of a typical deployment with our clients:

Phase 1

2 weeks

Criticality diagnosis + flow design + KPI/SLA definition + segregation plan.

Phase 2

6-10 weeks

Pilot operation (critical items / reverse logistics / distribution) + weekly reporting.

Phase 3

Close-out

Lessons learned + scale-up plan + service proposal.

Logistics for operational availability

Proven experience with highly demanding clients.

Resilience and control for programs and operational deployments.

Measurable sustainment under SLA/KPI, with operational visibility and continuous improvement.

Logistics scalability in Catalonia with planned growth.
